What you're asking is basically impossible because the reason there are Premium E-Books is becuase ONLY MEMBERS can buy them. The Japanese publishers won't allow the selling of e-Books with bonus content and DRM-Free to just anyone. The only reason we got to buy DRM-Free eBooks with bonus content is because it's limited to people who are members so only a few could buy them and those who do pay extra to be a member.

If what you're saying is implemented then there will be no more Bonus content and DRM-Free eBooks since anybody can just buy them off from the site.

In short the membership is the reason that the Japanese publishers is okay with selling DRM-Free eBooks with bonus content that is normally sold separately in Japan.

Nope, and it's probably going to vary from title to tile depending on how much money the Japanese publisher wants for the license. I'd expect the translation cost to also go up a bit for longer novels.

Base cost = $x per license + $y to translate (translator, editor, management) + $z for any retailer listing/misc setup costs

Digital version break-even = (base cost / gross profit per sale) books sold <=== 7.95 * 70%? for Amazon, etc.

My problem with it is how would they make the choice? I mean I’d toss in extra for probably a dozen series, while wanting say Legendary moonlight Scultpor and Magi Grandson be at the top and others to be at the bottom, hows that fair from the others who have a list that are opposite to mine and how does JNC decide?

Perhaps they are offered in small enough batches like 1-3 titles at a time, that if they all succeed then they all get worked on.

As mentioned by others this kind of project probably won't happen because a publisher won't want the embarrassment of having the attempt fail, so it's more of a "wouldn't this be nice" thread.

I already own all of Daughter (and recommend it) but I haven't read any of the others.

It would help if it specified manga or light novel at this point as well. I like the addition of the manga, but it's a little frustrating to see the title of an ln you're following with "Available Now" only to discover it's the manga that's updated.

@terabyte Yeah but it's one on the serie it's a bonus of, not general LN/anime words like Tsundere, Kudere, moe, ... or bit of japanese which are keep like the honorifique

What would be your solution to Der Werwolf, which has no chapter divisions? I think the system as it is is fine. Prepubs don't last very long anyways (2-3 months at the most), with the exception of catch-ups, so it's not that big of a deal.

@sinnoaria Yeah i agree with all of that but even more about showing the premium bonuses, they should really make so people want to take a membership and get those premium ebook.

Just so if anyone comes here before/after it's added to the official IOS app, the beta app they released yesterday allows for landscape mode in either rotation but only portrait mode with the home button on the bottom. You can sign up for the beta free and easily from this forum post here. You just have to download the TestFlight app then follow the link in that post to sign up for the beta.

I want this as well. Either an email or maybe have the pre orders for premium showing up on the feed thats on the home page. Or perhaps even have a day where you will drop the pre orders for premium like Fridays or Mondays. Something since I like to pre order JNC books on payday and I have to pretty much go through all the titles to see if anything new shows up. Thanks.
