Since there are already a few good recommendations from J-Novel Club, I will throw in a recommendation from another publisher.
I currently really enjoy reading The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior. Though there isn‘t much romance in the released volumes so far (since a final male lead hasn‘t been chosen yet), it‘s quite the exiting read!

I really hope this one gets licensed! I love OSO so much, it’s been my favourite reread series fore nearly a decade (mind I’ve only been able to read up to vol 15 fan translations)
It’s world building (game system) is my favourite of any vrmmo novels, the story is fun and cozy but still having exciting moments, and the mc doesn’t become some overpowered godlike monster that’s a top ranking player in like 5 volumes side eyes FLFO (mind I still like flfo but Yun is much more fun to read about then Anastasia)
I would very much buy all the volumes in English if they were available.

Just wanted to give a boost to this manga.

The description is by far one of the worst enemies of this series and seems to turn away a lot of folks.

I think they were trying to be ironic, but it IN NO WAY comes off that way.

To give a TINY SPOILER, basically, that "certain girl genius" isn't a character until far, far later. And she's basically reprimanded for messing up so many people's lives by doing the summoning her master explicitly told her not to do.
She's not a character in the manga even up to the latest raws (maybe kinda but not really).

This is a manga with great art and a general vibe that just feels... different. There's some OP-MC stuff, but in a kind of fun way that also never feels "invincible."
And even then, things are overall rather inventive.

The main character is just so DONE with the BS around him, constantly. It seems to rub some readers the wrong way, but I have a hard time understanding why.

I read some of what was translated from the novel, as well. I think this series would fit well into the j-novel club set of series.

Though, I am not certain if the LN was ever properly finished, and the manga has been slow to release - it seems rather irregular. I think the manga is only around chapter 30 right now.

I'd really like to see this series get some attention. I love the art, and the story has not been the usual isekai BS.
