Have you checked toc.ncx and toc.xhtml have the same order?
I've seen a few cases when they had a different order and it caused problems with some readers which use toc.ncx as a guide to order the epub pages.
You can check both using any text editor.

I think he meant the navigation bar at the bottom of the page when you read a part (the one with next/previous page, increase/decrease font buttons). Maybe it will be fixed after some cache clearing or even reinstalling firefox.

Thanks for the quick reply, this happened once before on Amazon so I was hoping that was the case (I love the series). I ended up going through ComiXology (the Amazon comic specific storefront) and was able to purchase the manga through there.

Thank you for your answers, I changed the card type in my original question, as it seems to be quite specific for Germany.

Searching the forum for a bit I only found threads pointing to the need of a credit card (or debit card in several other countries).

Figured as much - my "owned stuff" page had 11/23 as the availability date, so I was rather surprised when it popped up today.

Must have been a transient error, because it is working now.

Update: after a week of back and forth, including the Google support asking for information piece by piece as opposed to just ask all of them upfront (like: email 1 what's your order number? email 2 what device did you use?), their answer is:
