It's so horribly generic even for a LN adaptation that the term generic does not do it justice.

Still a better love story than twilight isekai than Isekai Tensei :)

It is indeed 100% generic but I do think slime A and slime B and the other pets are cute.

Well, we have our first trailer for it: https://youtu.be/4apF6kwl4hk?si=kzYoluEsPlQD3swW

So far so good... comes out in 2025 it seems

This is one of my favorite shows this season. This is one of the rare times I do not mind Kugimiya Rie's voice. Which is strange because I loved Shakugan no Shana.

I am really enjoying Arai Satomi as Phufun

I am watching the 1st episode right now and I am enjoying it. I see Gremory already appears and talks.

@pcj I never read the WN, just the LN here. Even if the WN has a darker ending than the LN, the LN has a darker ending than the anime. Again I’m only referring to vol. 1 which is what the anime covered.

I've not read the Manga, but from everything posted, it is obvious that the animators mostly took their queues from that, and that it was already significantly different from the LN.

@TheWickerMan It looked like they adapted the LN more or less straight. The LN was actually pretty bad during the same period. The only "advantage" the LN has is that it wastes a few paragraphs on narration to setup each scene, which the anime/manga does with pictures.

@HarmlessDave Meh. Yes luckily they don't repeat the same inner monologues. But damn at episode 3 I thought the same thing I experienced at every end of a LN Volume. "Why does it need to end in a cliffhanger". This was why I never started Volume 4.

@arghc nah, the method of execution and the people trying to do it just changes again, and she gets a new method of foreseeing the future since the diary went away when the guillotine ending was averted.

Did Ange just get another shadow contaminated cut, this time on her face? Admittedly, an all out physical and magic attack might make you wobbly on your feet, but...?

The demon king still looks like a baby Ange and is now calling elf-uncle "grandpa"...

At least Byaku seems to be the only one who has not totally lost perspective on Big/Sister stuff with Ange and Char. One would think that Ange would hold a longer grudge against those who sent an army of undead after her dad.

This series is a lost cause as an anime.

I'm inclined to agree, but am curious as to why you think so.
I loved season 1

They skipped so much good stuff in the 2nd season to focus on the harem. Wasting time on the side stories. Why introduce Caroline Rilletes at all. Founding of Brunhild was mostly skipped. The book has good world building they skip most of it.

@Angelus I have read the 5th novel already. It was great.

I found the animation designs a bit too cute for my taste. However, I am slightly interested in the story so I might watch a couple more episodes. I did watch 80,000 gold and enjoyed it but it had a great OP and ED that pulled me in. Potions' OP and ED are a bit lacking, though for my taste. Generally, it seems that FUNA novels tend to have cute illustrations that are slightly distasteful to me even if the story is interesting.

It’s terrible.

A mention of toe tapping anime music and no mention of the ending music for Blood Blockade Battlefront? Blasphemy!

Sugar Song to Bitter Step

Of course, the opening isn't too shabby either. Bump of Chicken does good stuff.

Hello, World

An oldie but a goodie, the first opening to the first Full Metal Alchemist series

Melissa

@Folker46 If you think that is bad dont ever look up the history of the fruit industry, the circuit board industry in china, or any of the old trading companies from 1600-1900. Rembrandt is a pipsqueek compared to any of them.

The anime mis-explained her use of aether during her fight with Rahl... Had her explain that she was using her aether to counter his mana... Which wasn't necessary because his spell required eye contact to work and she spent the entire fight with her eyes closed. Which they then never commented why she was able to do that. In truth she was using the flow of aether around her to "feel" where Rahl was while fighting, since her eyes were shut.

I feel pretty satisfied with the anime.
the production told a story that fit within a cour, and ended at a good place, with few loose ends.

Yume is still in love with Mitzuo
Mitzuo is still in love with Ayai (who Yume used to be)

Yume is determined to win Mitzuo from her 'old self'

yea, it's more complicated than that in the LN, and even if events diverge from this point going forward - I feel the Anime stands on it's own
