Honestly, without mentioning the specific series or sites, there are probably many J-NC members who frequent fan translation or scanlation sites. I am fully aware of the copyright infringement part. However, because of how broken the Amer. copyright system is in terms of when things should be public domain (copyright and trademark), I don't really feel guilty about reading them. Yes, I am aware that is a cop-out explanation. Numerous times on Twitter I have admitted such an act makes my rants about the deprivation of works entering Amer. public domain a moot point.

I’ll give you that Lynette is a pretty good measure for how most people think about the second queen. That everyone (and even Fie) believes the marraige is legit. However there should have been some paperwork or ceremony that a Fie would have to be a part of. Which we never see or is mentioned. Plus Roy doesn’t want a wife, let alone a second one under suspicion of hurting another member of royalty.

Why saddle himself to someone he thinks is a potential criminal? All the book says for sure is that she is a part of Fielle’s dowry. If Roy was only thinking politically (even though it’s still a stupid decision) why not accept the girl, but not marry her till after the investigation is complete. After all rumors have already assumed Fie is the worst. Why not have a rumor that there’s a second queen, without the actual paperwork? It’s not like anyone of importance talks to Princess Fie anyway.

Maybe all that Fie really needs is a fantastic lawyer.

Did you guys see Bookwalker are bringing Overlord and Goblin Slayer authors (and Overlord's anime director too iirc)? So I don't know if we should be expecting any new Bookwalker licenses or just Q+A with those guys.

Lol, I'm amazed anyone thought of them as the same. NU is less of a database site and more of a fan-translation tracker. LNDB is pretty much completely open for users to add whatever they want. (This can be bad when you get spam and the admin is MIA and no moderators exist.)

Rumbling Hearts VN is also one I need to see. Only ever found a few subtitled videos of it on YouTube, and I guess a fan project to translate the latest version of the game is in limbo. Apparently, the people that made the Japanese VN are the same people behind MuvLuv, "âge". So fans were hopeful that if Muv-Luv did well we'd get Rumbling Hearts... but Muv-Luv is no longer an active project from American localizer Degica (they gave the full reigns to another company to complete the Kickstarter rewards and republish the games on Steam). So I don't know how hopeful that is now. =[

Have you read the light novel / watched the anime Magical Girl Raising Project? I still need to make it through volume 1, but I did watch a little of the anime. It seems like a decent dark Magical Girl focused one.

I need to watch Magical Girl Site from this season's set of anime.

I chose indifferent in that I'll glomp an isekai with good writing or story elements (So I'm a Spider, Log Horizon, .//Hack, No Game No Life, etc) but reject one that doesn't have good writing or treats female characters as nothing but foils to the guys (I'll respectfully refrain from naming names, but there are many) rather than as independent personalities with their own goals and aspirations. I came here looking for some good stories and, well, I'm struggling a bit. I'm going to keep at it, though! I'm open to suggestions! :-)

Speaking as a mother of two, best anime mom ever is Kaname Junko, mother to Kaname Madoke in Puella Magi Madoka Magika. Independent, smart, and wise. She fulfills her own wishes; incubators need not apply. Even her daughter finds her scary. Watching that scene in the shelter in Ep 11 when Junko gives Madoka the push to go out into the Walpurgis storm still sends chills up my spine.

And yes, a runner up for best anime mom ever, looking at it from the evil side, is Ryoko's mom in Kill-la-Kill. She is so deliciously evil, isn't she?

Independent female characters with their own personalities and drives that are not always centered around reacting to or pleasing male characters.

Mother characters are a sure way to my heart. Miki Arakawa in "I'm a Genius" has me hooked although I wish we saw more in her head than just reacting to/pleasing her son. I'd like to know more about who she was before she gave birth. Something must have prepared her to bring all the ideas Kouki comes up with to life.

This is one of those series where the author is writing it as a web novel but it's clearly not their day job. He only updates the webnovel with a new chapter once every other week, so it takes him about 1 year to finish a volume's worth.
There is already enough material for 1 more volume, but maybe they are waiting to put out v6 for some other reason.
