Echoing Aruseus and green death, "isekai" isn't even a factor when I choose to read or not read or drop a book. It's just another label I can use to predict what kind of setting or tropes will be used in the story, the same way "sci-fi" or "shoujo" or "harem" help tell me what I can expect, in some shape or form.

I got this feeling, his “travels” even though it’s intended to avoid marriage meetings, will result in him having a “United Nations of queens” at his side. Primary and secondary.

Then again, he’s only limited to 8 as per Liscia, so he has to take some care in that... otherwise the Queens will need to approve...

Maybe secondary queens will only get one ever other, or every third week...

Or .. like slave harem, 2 or 3 secondary queens on the same night. And Juna is the top who gets her own night. Lol

Update: I had a thought, and my thought was this would probably work more as a general discussion of the series as a whole (available in English) and I make a thread for each of the separate parts of the series ex. (one for Bakemonogatari, Kizumonogatari, Nisemonogatari, Nekomonogatari, Kabukimonogatari, Hanamonogatari) where we can discuss each one in its own thread and this does not exclude those caught up to the series and those who are starting or in the middle of the series

Edit: Also sorry for all the Unread stuff that just popped up in everyone's unread box

@jampodevral I tend to have a lot of stress in my life and so I tend to like easy going stories.... Thus one of the reason why I liked Smartphone... :-)

Maybe Ultimate Antihero. The MC is not really an antihero by the usual definition, he's a true hero, it's just that his powers come from seemingly evil entities, and even though he uses his powers for good, whenever he uses them, everyone around gets terrorized by them. So even though he saved the world, he's on he's on every countrie's watch list.

LNs where the MC is OP:
() Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody -- Death March Kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoku
() I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level
(*) In Another World With My Smartphone -- Isekai wa smartphone to tomo ni

LN with kingdom building and harem:
(*) How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom

LN where something that looks good on paper, but is not (very funny):
(*) Konosuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! -- Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo

This LN may get you thinking about who is the hero:
    (*) The Devil Is a Part-Timer!

This LN has an MC that works hard to become a hero and will do stuff that he feels is right, even if the world turns against him:
(*) Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? -- DanMachi

By the way, I like to follow "Justus R. Stone" on YouTube.... Here is a link to his review of every first volume that he has done so far:

@drone205 Well, the story really is in its introductory arc until volume 7, then things start moving. But in a nutshell,

    spoiler

I'll just close by saying it is a real harem, but you've got a ways to go before you get there.

@l-sama You know, I actually was thinking about that series. It still doesn't offend me as much as Re:Monster, although I admittedly didn't read too much into it.

The big difference I think is that in Maoh no Hajimekata, we know off the bat that he's a bad guy. It's in the name of the title even, the main character is not supposed to be redeemable. Not to say it's good, but at least it's obvious up front what type of story it's going to be.

Re:Monster offends me because it sneaks up on you with that shit. It has the gall to give Rou some sort of moral objection to rape and then turn around and basically have him commit rape anyway. All the while comment about how virile and strong he is, it's revolting.

Because of the discussion with Hal's father (details in another volume), Souma realized he needed Hal and Kaede as a set. Kaede is, of course, the smart one of the pair, so she got the big promotion.

@the-green-death said in Are there any plans for an english eBook format for the "Archenemy & Hero (Maoyuu Maou Yuusha)" Light Novels to be sold in the USA?:

Was this the Light Novel that started as a series of posts on 2chan?

The author’s legal problems (same guy as Log Horizon right) may also be causing delay

Wow... legal problems seem to be something of a “thing” in Japan for some writers.

@paulnamida exactly, I don't care what people write about in a fictional story. I like south park cuz they pick on every race. I think that makes it fair. What's your guys opinion on how South Park sometimes does something racist but in a humors way. Sitcom to say.

I second Rokujouma. Great breezy read with characters that evolve in believable ways. One of my favorite LN series.

@terrence I liked Magical Girl Raising Vol. 2far better than one and am excited to read 3 when my backlog dies down. 3 continues from 2 so there’s still room to screw the pooch on this though.

And if it works like Infinite Dendro, we might see the first part like, on the 28th, 29th, or something. The people here are awesome with that when they're able. :)
