Possibly worse, if the tweaking is adlibbing by the VAs on the fly, as sometimes is the case.
There could well be ambiguity concerning who would have the IP rights to said adlibbed tweaks depending upon the contracts between VAs, their agents, the firm spearheading the project &c.
It's bad enough having multiple entities you'd need to negotiate with, but if the first step is getting those involved in the Japanese project to agree on who would be an interested party to the negotiations? There'd need to be a lot of money on the line before they'd bother, but if it weren't established in advance and the translated project turned out successful it could get ugly further down the line.

Oh I would love to see this translated! The manga is fun, and definitely a unique take on dungeons and adventuring. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of Remme and Fenix's relationship. Manga where the protagonist is kicked out of the hero's party seem to be a trend, but the way this series handles it is interesting.

That does raise the question of whether anyone has suggested this work to CIW?

Would be great to see J-Novel try and see if they could pick up the rest of the series as Yen Press don't seem to want to get the rest of the licenses and now that they have a print partnership with J-Novel maybe this would be easier to sort out where J-Novel does the translation and digital and Yen Press does a print version so Yen Press still has a hand in the licence? Plus with the new anime series coming out there might be renewed interest in it?
