For long I have the anime on my "to watch" list... I finally got the time to binge it, and I like it quite too.
It's rare to see this has not yet licenced. and the Novel Series has ended with 17 Volumes, +2 Extra Volume +1 Sp +1 Bonus (21 Books in total ~311 Web novel Chapters~)
So, I also give my vote for this, now tha AoB has ended.
Strange/Fake's getting an anime release soon! Gonna be getting a world premiere in Hollywood this November. I think it'd be a great time for an LN Localization to start as well with all the eyes that'll be on it. Would love to own the LNs...
@wobbuffetking Seconding this, Type-Moon has recently shown an interest in bringing their works to an International audience, their new releases even ship with English versions like Fate/Samurai Remnant and seemingly Fate/Extra Record(2025). There's also the Prisma Illya manga that just got licensed, point being I think there's some evidence to argue in favor of plenty of people wanting the rest of TMs stuff localized even the older stuff like Fate/Zero, and Kara no Kyoukai is certainly one of the big names left untouched.
Normally I’d say it’s impossible due to AlphaPolis, but Hanashi got Tsukimichi so we might as well try
Um, saying this in a JNC licensing suggestion might be bad form, but given Hanashi succeeding with AlphaPolis, and the type of stories Hanashi has licensed already...
Might consider suggesting this to Hanashi as well, from an "I wanna read this thing" perspective.
Someone (reliable) needs to license it, and Hanashi has a foot in the door and is showing themselves to be reliable.
I wouldn't mind reading this myself, based upon the description.
I don’t know about how there only “seems to” be a manga if you’ve read multiple chapters of it, but there’s three volumes out from Kodansha (it’s in Monthly Shounen Magazine, chapter 17 was serialised yesterday).
The LN has only one volume out, in 2022, but as it’s not numbered I assume it’s a oneshot.
@mariechan_hime It is mostly art style as the basics are shared, but there’s a difference in hair styling (braid appears to go behind the head in the manga, but over the top in the novels)… and she looks so happy!!! on the manga cover.
They’re both published by Kadokawa; Young Ace UP is the site where the manga was serialised. I say was because while neither is tagged as complete on BW, the last LN volume was released in 2020 and the manga has been on hiatus due to the artist’s health since 2022.
Apparently this has been getting a re-release recently with updated content(?) illustrations and each volume released containing seemingly about 2 volumes of the original run. Would be nice to see this translated officially. It's a pretty refreshing story which is more war like than the adventure like feel of many series.
Small update - during the most recent stream, there was a discussion over "when Bookworm ends, what will replace it as JNC's tentpole series?" Farming Life was brought up and Sam said he was considering it. Obviously can't say for certain whether it will actually happen, but it's progress
That's interesting. Really hoping JNC gets this one then. Perhaps in the next announcement stream. The licensed manga seems to be doing well, so it definitely has a following.
