@Terabyte Haha that was my exact thought too.
I loved how she went from scurrying back 5 feet into a dogeza to being right next to Ney's leg in the next panel too.

Also, the story didn't really touch on it, but Saika's totally filling a literal void in the family, isn't she? Somebody died and that's why she had to be adopted. So some of the reactions to her are probably mixed in with grief over a missing family member. (Not that it excuses anybody, because Saika has to deal with grief too and you don't see her being rude to others over it.)

I do not, even a little bit, recall if Jamal has any kind of claim to the Lioncourt bloodline. But it looks like he's going for it anyways.

I don’t remember, either, and I’m disinterested in the story enough that I’m not going to go back and check. :)

I reread the LN earlier this year, Will's rejection of Stagnate here feels just as emotional still. Such great character writing.

Does pumpkin pie make your mouth feel dry?

No, a correctly made pumpkin pie does not. And yes, it is a Japanese thing - because they make them wrong. They also do pecan pies wrong. At least, this is my perspective comparing Down South / Texas fare to what I had in Japan. Their pumpkin pies are made so that they are dense and dry. The pumpkin element only comes halfway up the crust - like their cheesecakes. Their pecan pies are made with a heavy concentration of pecan slivers and just enough of the filling mixture to keep the pecan pieces stuck together. Altogether, I did not have a single pie that was memorable, in a good way, the entire time I was there.

Their cakes were good though, unless you like your cakes super sweet. Like Mexican pastries, they do not load as much sugar into their recipes.

All of that being said, these were my experiences from being there for several years in the 1980s. Perhaps they got better at pies since then. But from what is said in the manga, perhaps not.

"This is why I hate Abyssals!"
What? That you can't defeat them? Talk about a sore loser.

Um, what's the tackiest way to phrase this I can come up with on short notice...
Her 'Release' didn't last long enough for her 'release', if you know what I mean...

      Geez, what a vulgar person.
She's not wrong about her appearance, but man does she do a number on all the tropes of dignified Elves. If there were a time to say, "Apologize to Tolkien!" this would be it. Next thing you know she'll start talking about hairy toe fetishes or something.

@Zerio said in Lady Rose Just Wants to Be a Commoner! Vol 3 Discussion:

She literally changed the plot from the villainess getting banished into the heroine getting banished. Just that fact alone should have alerted her that not everything is the same.

Of course, but there's tons of LNs which have the plot try to reassert itself, or have the protagonist change important stuff but still have their game knowledge be more or less perfect, etc. It's so common that protagonists actually changing the timeline beyond recognition within the first few chapters is pretty rare; and a lot of those are in comedies, not serious explorations of the idea.

One dragon saved, so it’s time to save another?

      Next book, please! Is there another in the queue? I don’t recall the status of this series. ^^;

This series, really. You got people with origins straight out of wuxia battling it out with definitely-not-Ronda-Rousey at an mma event while family drama and magical-girls-level shenanigans happen in the background, then comes the pro wrestling twist, and it all ends with how to use tiktok to promote your cheap dojo.

I don't think Noah's Charm Ability is having any impact upon Makoto.
Rather, it's her natural charm that is proving effective.
      "Charm" is imposed from without.
'charm' is part of how you really are.

While Noah's Charm has no effect on Makoto, he finds her charming.
      They get along, you know?

      Makoto.
Sasa doesn't have a home in this world.
So saying you are happy to be able to go home together with her...
You saying that your home is her home as well?

      You lady killer you.

We do need to bear in mind that Sasa did make herself at home at Makoto's back in Japan, so Makoto not thinking deeply about his wording is par for the course.
She was one of the few he considered a friend rather than an acquaintance.

Along those lines, consider who he does think of as friends among his classmates.
      Fujiwara. [Rising Merchant Prince]
      Sakurai. [The Hero of Light.]
      Sasa. [The Lamia Queen.]
      It's a rather select group...

If one starts adding in those he looks at that way from their new world?
It's pretty impressive for someone who all the Sacred Deities representatives considered total trash upon his arrival.

@aZaphos some of them were commented to be unable to continue due to injury or lack of motivation, but I doubt any of them would manage to journey back into the Wasteland without Alpha knowing about it. Only one was marked hostile, and they were "disposed of", so I'm 99.9999999% sure they're dead.

My guess involves LN V2P2 information, so under a tag for manga only to avoid
