Mukohda, a giant softie surrounded by battle junkies and gluttons.

That was satisfying lol. I agree with Akira. It's not easy to work with someone who likes to pick a fight.

@Geezer-Weasalopes Hm... now that I'm see it out of context... sounds like a proposal. I guess Fuuri will be getting a new mom at some point.

@Pieta Not only "despite his disability" — actively integrating his prosthetic into his fighting style.

A bit of both, really; we see him use the leg to his advantage and we see him lose balance because of the leg easily.

I continue to appreciate the realism of this game's bugs and exploits

Fiene's mother's backstory always gets me. And so does Lieselotte's reaction, telling her father to go and adopt Fiene into the family. And so does Art and Sieg immediately agreeing to go falsify the relevant records. It's all of them working for the same goal together without having to talk to each other and I love it.

Oh no! Mr. Dragon didn't know people celebrate their birthdays!
Love how in this series, even the crises are entirely wholesome.
And I don't feel bad for tearing up all the time while reading, because so do the character within.

The art is a great fit for the tone of the series. (My favourites were the Dark Queen's incognito outfit, and the two-page spread of the Olivia and Mr. Dragon looking at spring flowers.)

@xdrfiredogx @GeorgeMTO Thank you for reinforcing my thoughts. I didn't remember anything like this in the LN, but it's also been about a year and a half since I reread the full series.

I know the manga like to make changes to the fights, probably trying to make them more dramatic. This, however, feel different. I'm going to put my thoughts in spoilers.

Oh no doubt. I have a lot of issues with how things were done in the actual LN. This actually makes it feel like an organic buildup and not a random ass-pull.

Well, this part was fun. The pacing does seem about right, and we got the requisite foreshadowing about the Murdergalsh. That is something I'm looking forward to seeing.

A nice tour in the garden with a knight... except when he leaves you for a minute and your evil twin sister bullies you.

Fortunately, the knight puts an end to it quickly.

Chelsea also doesn't understand her position and value since she's been abused and belittled all her life. Looks like both of the sister's misconceptions are going to be corrected by the powerful people around them now.

It feels a bit odd to call this form Dark Baiser but that really is what it is.

Can't be... no goatee

Dark Baiser, not Mirror Universe Baiser; along the lines of Dark Phoenix.

One could argue that all Phoenix are dark, but I'll grant you the point.

This installment was pure fluff, and nothing but.
It was good fluff.

Yes it was, and helps balance out the darker tone of Iluna's kidnapping and Yuki's rampage that started out the volume.

Wow, this manga artist sure loves large, supple .... ears. Another demi-human with ears for days. First the cat triplets, now Galatt. We finally get to the dungeon city and the travel from there is just him grumbling about it.

@playerprophet Thanks for the extra information, that was interesting!

"Black bullet rip through the air faster than sound and tear apart the wind!"
'It doesn't sound chunni ENOUGH! I must harness darker powers!' 《-What Arcus is really thinking.

@Geezer-Weasalopes Yeah. Props to Yuji for calling it like it is and being honest. But now what will Francesca do?

@Terabyte Haha that was my exact thought too.
I loved how she went from scurrying back 5 feet into a dogeza to being right next to Ney's leg in the next panel too.

Also, the story didn't really touch on it, but Saika's totally filling a literal void in the family, isn't she? Somebody died and that's why she had to be adopted. So some of the reactions to her are probably mixed in with grief over a missing family member. (Not that it excuses anybody, because Saika has to deal with grief too and you don't see her being rude to others over it.)

@endoftheline that's why Edward stays dead so the rest of my party gets more EXP.
