Today's link should be [vol 3- ch 4] not [vol 3 - ch 3]. This ch 3 was released last week, this week should be ch 4.

I posted this on discord yesterday, but I figured it was probably a better idea to also post it somewhere that's easier to keep track of.

The formatting here makes the text read "he's h- still hey! Being treated" at a glance. In order to avoid the "don't dead open inside" moment, perhaps it might be better to move the h-hey a bit higher so the texts aren't vertically aligned, or maybe just have a single block of text -- I don't know much about manga typesetting, so I can't say what a good solution would be, but as it stands it is a bit misleading.

Would really like to be able to purchase manga direct from JNC. Trying to keep track of who modifies the source files and how, then you have issues with ie Amazon censorship. I don't so much mind DRM as I want the most definitive source material that is complete and high quality. I also like being able to archive the files. Just like a physical book, once I paid for it, I can read the version I paid for any time in the future without fear of the content disappearing or getting modified to fit some future person's new definition of "acceptable content".

Vol 2 Chapter 5
page 2 - "The tub of lard" --> Checked the raw, and that part was in English. Maybe leave the original text there? The same English original text was left on page 14, so having one being different from the other makes it a little jarring to me.

I closed the tab like an idiot. But I think I food a small edge case in the manga reader. I was reading https://j-novel.club/s/campfire-cooking-in-another-world-with-my-absurd-skill-manga and took a break while reading catching up. When I came back to it(I was currently reading Vol 2 Ch 5) and on the ending like normal it showed the "continue to next part" button but upon clicking it... it said I was already caught up(what a twist). When going back to the landing page I notice that their was indeed a new part(chapter 1 of Volume 3).

So possible edge case where when reading something and a new chapter comes out it'll display the "continue to next part" but no allow you to advance.

Just binged all 4 volumes (first 3 on Comix) in the past couple days. Man this is an amazing adaptation and I got just as emotional if not more so at the same places I cried in the novel years ago xD

Not only is this manga’s art really good, the paneling and flow feel very well thought out. For example, when Chastille asks Zagan to stay, his refusal leads to the long panels, wordless except for Chastille’s timid acceptance - and then a large, dramatic panel where Zagan sits down with a plunk, immediately shifting the mood. Good stuff.

Poor Foll, obviously Chastille didn’t do it but it’s no surprise she’d snap against people from the same organization as her father’s murderer. And now she’s missing! What a note to end the volume on.
