This is called “a hybrid” species or “mixed” race.

“Double” has literally the opposite meaning of “hafu,” if you're translating the word I think you're translating. “A double” also has the common meaning of someone who has the same appearance as someone else, so this is extra confusing.

You do hear “I'm half [whatever]” in English, (which is almost certainly where “hafu” comes from,) so transliterating to “half” would make more sense than “double” does, but neither is good, IMHO.

Yes that is what I was saying. Not all changes can be cross made back into the pre-pub parts. It is a time consuming process that we are hoping to make simpler in the future. For now once an ebook is published it remains the most up-to-date version of that story. Correction wise.
