@admin Hello, thank you for responding! I have done as you have asked though it has now been a week. Just bumping in case this got lost in the shuffle.
@piisfun No idea which software version we're on, but seems like this issue may have been reported and fixed last year (v1.17.0) as it sounds an awful lot like what's being reported on this issue report https://github.com/NodeBB/NodeBB/issues/9382
I seem to remember the last forum update being shortly before that, so it probably is fixed in the latest version.
If your card is being declined, it is almost certainly a problem that needs to be resolved on your card's side, not anything we or Stripe (our payment processor) can solve. One possibility is that because J-Novel Club is a small company, your bank may automatically blacklist us, so you might have to ask if this is the case and to whitelist the transaction if so.
Also if you're only interested in Bookworm if you preorder the epub book from JNC you can access the parts as that are released even if you're not a subscriber. However you don't get access to the relevant forum so can't take part in the prepub discussions (which I see as one of the big benefits of reading it weekly).
@piisfun I am logged in... it's said I'm not allowed 😣
Unless you refresh your browser cache, it will still show you as logged in even though you have actually been given the boot.
The browsers don't appear to detect it as an action which automatically generates a cache refresh.
The web site itself is very aware that it did give you the boot.
It's irritating as all get-out.
@myskaros
That’s a real bummer. I literally only bought my sub so I could read this novel, gonna have to cancel now unfortunately since I was literally in the middle of part 4 vol 3 and now I can’t finish them! Was a great novel too~
again, nowadays you can buy the books even without subscription
but the subscription helps you keep up with the series and is cheap enough to maintain (I'm Mexsican, Cheap is what
I seek the most)
Is buying the epub the same as reading the pre-pub?
I assumed that they weren't connected. So in order to read the book you purchased, you have to download the epub file and open it with an appropriate digital reader.
If you buy the premium e-book you get permanent access to the pre-pubs for the associated volume. Though do note that if you want to read the final retail release with any bonuses/corrections you do need to download the ebook and use your preferred reader.
