This one is really interesting and compelling. I’m not much for tragedy, but this is on my list of exceptions. Fair warning, it can be straight up depressing, and current events are not being kind to those dealing with depression, so ymmv. I’d add it to my library but probably wouldn’t read it for a while.
So many books and series to read, but never got round to this series. The anime sadly did not do it justice.
When my Japanese improves and my reading list narrows, I may pick it up... But I don't think it will ever decrease by that much.... Staring at the current pile. 😂
I've seen the anime quite some time ago and the whole dragon raising stuff got me really interested in the light novel. If J-Novel Club licenses it I would definitely read it.
The premise making me not sure about the whole thing.
it seems a bit lost?
The initial setting seems quite complex, and interesting. However, it sounds quite convoluted for the vibes the other half of the synopsis gives.
Is it just slice of life, parenting style? Or the aspect of speciesism or fear of difference or mislead religious convictions will come into play later on?
I've read some of the original webnovel (which is still ongoing).
Thanks Wellwisher! With such cool artwork, I thought it could be passable and might become a niche seller :) some people might like a bit harder fantasies. The original work is very long but this is only a few volumes. I leave you with the best thing to come out of the anime imo ... this cool tune!
