Yuto doesn't feel conflicted much, outside of which of his tamed monsters he'll acquiesce to this time.
He'll be astounded at the wondrous new knowledge gained by his fellows.
It might expand his repertoire of "weird things to attempt"...

I'm starting to look at the raws since it's been almost 8 months since the last release and Japan already has 8 volumes of the manga out.

I can see why it seems stopped/stalled? It is nothing like the source. To me this is just a bad adaption. Sure the source gets kinda iffy in the last two volumes, but it was a good source back this far.

@Torka don't quote me on it, but I think he was 18 when she was 12, and she's 13 now at this point in the story. He's definitely older than her. Having read the LN I can tell you that they do wait until she comes of age before doing anything that exceeds hand holding (not even kissing, other than back of the hand or a peck on the forehead). They're so pure as a couple it's almost painful to read :-) but that's a good thing because of her age.

Also, this is a country where engagements are often decided by your parents when you're still 5 years old or so. He's apparently begged out of all of them until now, and her original parents would have rather sold her as a slave. The Sergeants haven't gotten around to it yet because she's too new to them, and at this point they would probably have tried to hook her up with Glen anyway.

This is shaping up to be like the underlying conflict of Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside, except the positions of the protagonists and antagonists are swapped

And a followup:

The manga's currently released seven volumes will be available while supplies last, but the publisher Kadokawa has no plans to reprint the manga. Furthermore, Kadokawa cannot comment on the continued availability of the digital version, the vertical-scrolling version, and overseas translated versions of the manga, but will make announcements as soon as it is able.

Is volume 5 going to be translated? The manga ends at chapter 30
