[And yes, I had to go back a ways to find their names mentioned.]
Given what appear to be the attitudes of Jilet's house, it should be no surprise that the thing that'll set her off faster than anything else is discrimination based upon gender.
Ral... is of mixed blood himself, which may tie in with his attitudes toward non-human intelligences; again, discrimination becomes a trigger.
The Sanctum appears to have great power.
Extra-territorial jurisdiction with teeth.
Regulation-bound to prevent misuse of authority.
Respected and hated at the same time.
Not required to declare their presence unless forced to act. [No mandated uniform to be worn while 'on duty'; capable of blending in with the civilian population while on information gathering missions...]
We still don't know what their ultimate goal is for this journey, other than that it ties in with a journal in the Sanctum's possession and that the journal provides information related to an individual of interest's travels; what they seek lies at the end of the journey recorded. The description of travel is vague enough that they can't just drag out a map and say, "Ah! That's where the journey ends!"
