@myskaros there doesn’t seem to be any issues with other manga. I tried shrinking the browser like you suggested and now I can read it. Thanks. I also wasn’t aware there’s an app 😲.

This was such a great volume!

Bordeaux seems like a great place to be - and a big part of that is that their leaders are not concerned with status and honor, but with the practicalities of being a country region. Like adventurers helping with city defense, and soldiers with monsters. Which, as it turns out, totally pisses off more traditional nobels, like a certain count Malta...

Charlotte's backstory is heartbreaking. There's very little explanation, just like a small kid who wouldn't understand what's happening, but you can tell she lived through a lot.
Also, why is it the church is always corrupt?

We have an invasion of zombies! It's striking how serious the comics suddenly gets from the usual cutesy style. Darkened frames full of decaying bodies, Ange suddenly looking like a scary and dangerous warrior, the desperation in the crowd scenes, after battle frames of battlefields full of bodies...
And then Ange getting into the demotic fog and half the page is just YOUARETHESAME YOUARETHESAME, wow.

Charlotte and Byaku are really likeable for villains, especially since they're the ones telling count Malta what all the readers are thinking.

I appreciate how nobody's actually that OP here. Belgrieve's tired and hurting all over after the fight, Ange's down from just a short contact with the demon... Makes their fight matter a lot more than if they'd just win everything easily.

That fight between Byaku and Sasha was scary. I was sure somebody's gonna die.

The fight between Byaku and Ange was also scary, though in a different way. Byaku seems to be a half-demon? Possessed? And most concerning, recognizing Ange as "the same".

This series is totally not going where I thought it's going.

I was certain Opal's father has strongarmed both her and the duke into marrying each other, while withholding that crucial information from everybody, so that they both feel the other side's actions are more predatory than they actually were; and that clearing up that misinformation will be the way to progress and face the real villains - which surely includes the father, and a few more we've already met on top of that.

Instead, Opal has channeled her inner villainess, taken over the whole estate, and cares not one bit for the duke, while a new strong candidate for a future love interest makes an appearance. We don't catch a sight of Opal's father, and no misunderstanding gets resolved whatsoever; if anything, it's all gotten worse.

If only the heroine was capable of asking "why do you behave as though I forced you to marry me, when my father arranged this marriage with no input from me whatsoever?"

@karasutengu Naw, this is just a flashback to their first meeting from the Princes' perspective (at least if we go by the light novel anyway).

I swear Chelsea's irises get bigger every chapter. Several instances in this volume I started thinking she walked off the set of Children of the Damned or something.

En is adorable. I like that she was protective of Yuki because she is his sword.

That was not ominous at all.

He probably has some kind of divinity and that is why he cant use magic. It is what seems to be popular now adays.

Good day for them as they came out of it with all kinds of loot. The best being a fire lighter.

Poor Alna just can't win. Thirsty as hell but something always interferes At least the little mouekin is safe as they would get a major earful if Alna knew they had did that..

Rike joins the family, quickly taking the family name forge name. She's got her one of the family knives already.

The story really works well in the manga, with details being shown and shortened for some of the processes. Seems like they'll really be able to put a focus on the slice of life aspect of the story.

Rike becomes another source of expressive faces, though I feel that Samya will still be the main source.

The royal “We”. It is a very standard term used to refer to oneself in a grand way.

Looking up “Royal We” will give plenty of insight into the decision here.

Just checked with the LN. The salt embargo was indeed implicated but never mentioned explicitly.
Most probable the citizens and soldiers still don't know the full impact of a salt shortage.

Meaning the kingdom and it's soldiers are the aggressors, even without pillaging and raping. And most don't even realize.
