@weasalopes True, a rushed job is a poor job, measure twice, cut once. It is fun to speculate where the author can or will go next. I did find Demon Lord to be a little sad, as far as a story goes. I felt sorry for Shera, she loves Diablo and Rem but being an Elf, she will see them grow old and die while she remains relatively young (thus I reject the idea she's only 16 in Elf years, by human standards she's still a baby, would make more sense if she was 60 and just got tired of the forest and her brother's abuse). I did find it enlightening when Silvie admitted that while Grasswalkers stay young looking all their lives they are still aging on the inside.
But where can the author go next? Diablo has defeated anyone who was a threat, and the author could have just had a happy ending where Diablo starts a family with Shera and Rem, Horn and Lumachina come later, but no. He sends him and Kleb to another world? I hope this means he has some good story ideas for Diablo.

As to the other adult content, I'm sure it's how they have them categorized. Amazon specifically seems to treat LN's under YA fiction rules, rightly or wrongly.

I like my stepdads 3rd gen Kindle, but considering upgrading to a smaller form factor (no keyboard, touch screen) mostly for the screen light. Currently on sale for Valentine's day.

My biggest issue with a Kindle reader however, is I can't read j-novel pre-published translations. So I have a Fire 8 (the 7s screen resolution sucked, only 1gb of ram, and it felt slow) on order, though I will need to hack it to load the play store for access to the j-novel app, which doesn't appear to be in the app store.

You can also read the prepubs in a web browser (Chrome, Safari), though I don't know if the bundled Fire browser will work for that. I had a 7 years ago and the "silk" browser was pretty bad.

The two most recent of Der Werwolf (15 came out in December). Also in the same situation is Average Abilities 14 by Seven Seas (they have it on the calendar but given how many times they’ve delayed it as well as the Arifureta 12 listing it can’t be trusted).

I honestly don't know that the ties to Kadokawa would help on the financial side at all, it's not like those costs change at all. What it might do is let them be able to actually pitch the idea rather than having the door closed in their face and maybe make a more compelling argument as they'd be able to use in house data that maybe can't be made public.

@harmlessdave I assume they're referring to Shueisha/Viz/MangaPlus's decision not to publish certain chapters of Ayakashi Triangle.

We don't know, but poor sales is the reason behind most axes. Unfortunately, "good" and "profitable" are not synonims, and there are plenty examples of that.

@Argonometra I assume you're talking about buddhist manthra bathing scene? It is very mild by LN standards, so that's definitely not the case, not to mention that both volumes are still up for sale. Moreover, japanese branch seem to not care about that, and doesn't delist much worse "offenders" like,for example, 伯爵家女中伝, where some scenes are not -ish by any stretch of imagination.

To be honest, I did enjoy book 8

....so it kind of hurt that the series (most likely) ends here. Still, kudos to the author for making it to 8 LN on his debut work. Personally, I had a blast reading this series.

There's also that the copyright page on the physical editions should, if the publishers understand how these things are supposed to work, have some indication that it's a revised edition or later printing; in this case, technically, there should be a new ISBN, but I wouldn't hold my breath about that.

Yes, revised editions are marked as such on the bottom of copyright pages.
Unfortunately, they still share the same ISBN, which turns getting the right version of the book into a lottery while ordering online, which is an only option for a decent amount of people.

They aren't supposed to; reuse the ISBN with a revised edition. That's a no-no.
Yes, it's done all the time, but they are supposed to obtain a new ISBN if there are substantive changes to the work. Substantive changes can be pretty durn minor in reality.
There are regulations concerning the use of ISBNs and ISSNs, but there isn't an enforcement arm so publishers get away with this shit

Generally JP publishers will announce when a series is complete. I haven't heard of such an announcement for this series so we can only assume it's ongoing.

I can't believe nobody's mentioned Dahlia in Bloom yet. It's not supposed to be about food, but anyone who's been reading it will be happy to tell you that every other chapter will make you wish you had some of Dahlia's cooking to eat in a really bad way.

Sounds more like something that you should contact Amazon about if they have dispatched it and you haven't received it.

I got my copy a while ago and that was from Book Depository with them shipping to Australia, so it's definitely been released.
