@gonki Hyouka is also available from the Japanese BookWalker site, and you can use an account from the global site to purchase it (the book itself is Japanese-only, obviously).
@korppi said in Question about "If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord":
I like it. Story is pure saccharin(for now at least), Latina is adorable as hell, and I don't have any issues with 'that'. Just hoping the end won't turn grimdark going by all the foreshadowing...
I'm hoping that they don't do some sort of age catch up thing with our heroine, nor some sort of immortality / age slowing for our guy. I want to see her father growing even more distant age wise physically as the story goes.
I imagine dealing with his death of old age being very emotional. 😢
Hmm so my Big sister is rather short novel is something surprising to me since how each part is written I was thinking that it was planned to have at least dozen volumes, as for other novels i read means Paying to win it doesn't surprise me at all since i do not feel like it could have much more material to write.
As for Mixed Bathing I'm surprise that WN didn't was longer before getting published.
I believe the first series to be completed by J-novel (besides one volume long brave chronicle) will either bluesteel Blasphemer or My Little sister can read kanji. I also feel it would be great idea to celebrate it on j-novel by either announce new license or maybe something else (like some promotional action).
@Eternal-Wanderer It didn't bother me, it reminded me of how reading the book felt. It really felt like the book was a bunch of really tiny short stories loosely tied together until the over arching plot started to barely show its big toe.
IMO it's worth it even if it's just to get access to the premium credits, those exclusive side-stories are worth it, and given that you get a free credit every month, that already has a 6$ value, and first month you get not 1 but 2 credits (when you sign up and on the 15th) so even if you subscribe now you could buy both epubs once it's out for a lot less than if you bought the non-premium version on amazon (which come without the extra side-stories) and from then on you can just read the series as it comes out, downgrade to a normal membership or whatever, but if you're following at least 3 series, a monthly credit would be in your best interest since you can get more credits for 6$ instead of 7$ (non-premium members).
I think it is my favorite light novel series I have ever read. It wasn't just a harem with a click bait title. The characters are fleshed out and it feels like a great adventure.
I just finished volume 2 and i cant wait to read more of this.
@Hakomari Eh, this one isn't as big of a draw for me, although it's interesting to see that it has won some awards. If they have a really good promotion or it gets a lot of good reviews I might check it out.
@TheRedJet welcome, let's suffer together. That pain when something great ends. And it doesn't seem like the fan translations have reached that far(last time I checked). But man, it would be great if it got picked up
I suppose while I know some things, unfortunately enough, light novel specific things are a lot more iffy. Huh.
Anyway the first three Boogipop LNs are getting a digital release, so maybe continuing with these may be sooner than I expected.
And besides the physical releases of JNC stuff, they got Toradora as well (YES!), so there's absolutely no way any of us can say they haven't been doing light novels again anymore.
