I have no issues with using the app on my fire tablet. Typing this up right now. However, I did install the play store using some application on my computer when I first got my tablet. That way I could load the j-novel app without side loading. Pretty sure it has never prevented updates from Amazon either.

@vorduran We highly suggest buying books on another platform other than Kindle, or buying the book directly on our website then sending it to your Kindle. Amazon is historically not a reliable platform, they have rejected our books for arbitrary reasons before, and lately they appear to be shadow-rejecting our final published books without informing our ebook distributor, giving us no chance to rectify any issues before the book's release date.

There's just really no winning with Kindle; if you try to lodge a complaint, Kindle support will claim that it's our fault for not sending them the final ebook, even though they are the ones rejecting our book.

In any case, we have escalated this issue to our ebook distributor, and we expect it to be resolved within 2-3 business days.

I have the same issue. It seems like search and filter aren't working that well sometimes.

Filtering "catch-up" still show other series.

Searching by word doesn't work.

I'm on Android.

Edit: sometimes closing and reopening the app may work.

@Rahul-Balaggan The third party uploading agency also seems to be under the impression that the automatic update system should work. Unfortunately, it doesn't since those directions are the first thing I tried.

And I understand, thanks for trying. I'll poke at Amazon CS for the update. I'll ask them out of curiosity if they know why the automatic update isn't available.

Edit: That was naive of me. Of course they told me to clear my cache. My money is still on my "some kind of anti-tampering mechanic was triggered from replacing too much of the text at once" theory. Oh well, I have an updated version now, even on read.amazon.com and even without clearing my cache. Simply pressing the refresh button once (not even a hard refresh) on the tab I was looking at it on brought up the right book after my chat with CS, where they said they "pushed an updated version to my devices".
