I usually don't wait until the final chapter is released to start reading, but when I know it is final I tend to give it priority. In both cases it would be helpful for a final chapter indicator.

If you want to read on a Windows PC, a screen reader like NVDA or JAWS might work.

Let us know what you want to read (epub or the web pre-publication parts) and what you want to read it on.

My hope is that JNC get more prominence, it has really good content more people should be more aware of this company and check it out.

@SomeOldGuy Yes pages inside restricted areas are totally unreachable by web crawlers, but this is not the issue that I encountered, the issue was after seeing the description of JNC on google I thought to check the source code of the home page. I noticed the following:

The homepage was buried under ajax, google might not be able to read any of it

The heading tags were not used to create hierarchy, no h1 .. h6 in the entire homepage

Only the logo had the ALT attribute setup. and only one element had the title attribute

the description and keywords meta information is missing

On the positive side that helps getting a good search engine ranking

it has clear urls

it has fresh content every day.

the code was minified and contained inline SVG faster less connections required to view the page.

That said in google ranking are users clicks, and inbound links count a lot. Having a good description under your search result is important to entice users to click on your link, slowly this could improve your ranking on it own.

@Jon-Mitchell they can also add that about us 'text' to the description meta tag inside the head section of the webpage. Google uses that text in the search results if available.

Today I also went on reddit checking for info on vol 7 of Rokka Braves of Six Flowers, and I happen to stumble on several threads for of people requesting links to download the volumes for free, that was a big motivator in trying to increase awareness of legit options in the hope more people will support this market.

What you're asking is basically impossible because the reason there are Premium E-Books is becuase ONLY MEMBERS can buy them. The Japanese publishers won't allow the selling of e-Books with bonus content and DRM-Free to just anyone. The only reason we got to buy DRM-Free eBooks with bonus content is because it's limited to people who are members so only a few could buy them and those who do pay extra to be a member.

If what you're saying is implemented then there will be no more Bonus content and DRM-Free eBooks since anybody can just buy them off from the site.

In short the membership is the reason that the Japanese publishers is okay with selling DRM-Free eBooks with bonus content that is normally sold separately in Japan.

Nope, and it's probably going to vary from title to tile depending on how much money the Japanese publisher wants for the license. I'd expect the translation cost to also go up a bit for longer novels.

Base cost = $x per license + $y to translate (translator, editor, management) + $z for any retailer listing/misc setup costs

Digital version break-even = (base cost / gross profit per sale) books sold <=== 7.95 * 70%? for Amazon, etc.

My problem with it is how would they make the choice? I mean I’d toss in extra for probably a dozen series, while wanting say Legendary moonlight Scultpor and Magi Grandson be at the top and others to be at the bottom, hows that fair from the others who have a list that are opposite to mine and how does JNC decide?

Perhaps they are offered in small enough batches like 1-3 titles at a time, that if they all succeed then they all get worked on.

As mentioned by others this kind of project probably won't happen because a publisher won't want the embarrassment of having the attempt fail, so it's more of a "wouldn't this be nice" thread.

I already own all of Daughter (and recommend it) but I haven't read any of the others.

It would help if it specified manga or light novel at this point as well. I like the addition of the manga, but it's a little frustrating to see the title of an ln you're following with "Available Now" only to discover it's the manga that's updated.

@terabyte Yeah but it's one on the serie it's a bonus of, not general LN/anime words like Tsundere, Kudere, moe, ... or bit of japanese which are keep like the honorifique

What would be your solution to Der Werwolf, which has no chapter divisions? I think the system as it is is fine. Prepubs don't last very long anyways (2-3 months at the most), with the exception of catch-ups, so it's not that big of a deal.

@sinnoaria Yeah i agree with all of that but even more about showing the premium bonuses, they should really make so people want to take a membership and get those premium ebook.

Just so if anyone comes here before/after it's added to the official IOS app, the beta app they released yesterday allows for landscape mode in either rotation but only portrait mode with the home button on the bottom.
