Sounds like if you get to the JNC booth at AnimeNYC early enough they're gonna have some stuff on sale you can't normally get your hands on these days.
Just a note for our members, catchups will be changing on Monday, October 3, since the first of the month is on a weekend and we unfortunately have not created an automated system for it yet!
Thank you for the heads up and what you said makes a ton of sense. It's unfortunate because I thought it was a great series. Nice character development compared to most titles out, character grind versus OPed from day one, enough fan service, and a nice balance between comedy and seriousness.
I hope the creator attempts to make a sequel one day.
@saffire We're kind of waiting to make a few other changes all at once to the app so it might be a little while but we'll definitely get to it (along with allowing purchases of coins etc IN the app).
Amazon just stopped allowing you to purchase within the Kindle app because they didn't want to give the app stores their cut.
I think JNC are in a pretty different situation to Amazon though. The app stores cut likely aren't much different to what Kobo, Bookwalker and Amazon themselves are taking for selling the books 3rd party. If they can bring more people over to buying direct by offering that additional payment method, that balances out.
gosh, if I didn't need a reason to buy premiums from J-Novel site before now...
I know not all 'missing' titles are JNC's but, I just don't see a compelling reason to buy from bezos when there is an alternative that is both cheaper and better. now we just need a wiki /article /FAQ on how to use calibre and sideload JNC premiums to Kindle hardware (or Ipad) for those folks that aren't already doing that...
... but can we place a limit on main characters who are dressed all in black? ...
And on characters named Aisha or any abbreviation of it. I start mixing them up. Is that the most beloved name of Japanese authors or what? (this is not just JNC titles, but across all English light novel releases. There are so many I get confused).
I read both parts of 4 of the new novels, they seem promising. Let's see where it goes from here :)
Had fun learning the strange sequence of inputs to enable developer mode on an Android device to figure this one out...
Not sure if this would help at all for ease of future css locating, but you could always open the forum in a normal desktop browser and use the mobile layout in the developer tools to simulate a mobile browser if you know what width and height you want to use.
@xdrfiredogx Haha indeed, it's the perfect descriptor for the likes of Epic Movie or Meet the Spartans.
To parody isekai you have to be an isekai of course so I can't guarantee it'll be for you. That's the beauty of the catchups of course though. I have several series I'm now purchasing premiums for that I wouldn't even have considered buying if they were from another publisher. I'd say the first 4 or 5 parts of volume 1 would give anyone a pretty clear idea whether it's to their tastes or not.
