Yes, it is indeed an original manga. However, j-novel does have one of the author's (Mikawa Ghost) novel works; My Friend's Little Sister Has It In for Me!

The manga was published in English, I have it. Many detail differences between it and the anime.

So One Peace Books announced they have the license to the manga. Here's hoping someone like SS or JNC eventually manage to break through the Alphapolis wall to get a Light Novel.
