Actually, I don't really discern much between LN and general literature.
A lot of old LNs are sold or rebranded as non-LN title now.
There's this new medium in the gray area called "light bungei" as well.
So I just lump them all together as Japanese literature (even if some complain about how LN can be literature, I just use the term "pop literature" lol)

After reading 55 chapters of manga, I have to say that this story is bellow average. The MC is your typical beta male isekai protagonist, dense and faints with a nose bleed when he sees a naked lady.
He has an ability that is similar to Hajime's from Arifureta, but a lot more powerful and no ambition to achieve anything beyond being a lackey to royal family.
The story revolves around various countries trying to become more powerful and MC putting out embers of conflict before they break into all out war. Honestly, this is a rather boring story.
