The Manga version serialization will begin on August 12, 2026.

As ever the series makes me question how much is Akira just being a Doofus? Or how much is he either being interfered with or being influenced by his original hero gifts? You can never quite tell with his absent mindedness.

That said the dark urges which unlike Akira not realising only started with exposure to dark mana and the planets cracking are clearly Something affecting him. I am curious if we will learn more or like the unreasonable fear and discomfort in the past will end up going unexplained.

A new topic of interest is Akira's Deification. Not in the gods of planet management sense of immortality and responsibility, but in his surrounding companions. He has been acknowledge by the forest equivalent of a gaia tree as lord of the forest, and now we find not only do they revere him as a master but worship Akira as the supreme being, above gods. At least that explains them constantly looking down on Aion and the other gods as mere things who brought harm to their god.

Having his companions see him as a supreme being is quite a step up from being the guardian figure. And altogether I do not think any of his followers understand the concept of him just being a friend and helper.

Side notes from this volume:

The summoning kids being even stronger then the forest guardians both makes sense, as they where potential heroes to overthrow demon lords in the gods game of fates. But also interestingly worrying as this forests guardians are much stronger then normal ones. Those kids as missionaries might very well result in interplanetary warfare over recognition of Akira's Divinity.

Are the golems being affected by Akira's slight dark mana corruptions? Leader is getting quite menacing. But then again we had animals being very scared of him before the recent events. Who knows?

I look forwards to the Cerberus' awakening and any complications from its strange birthing. And perhaps we might even find out more about what the apprentices where up to with the Angels and Cerberus.

Ropes transcendent existence seems to pose a lot a practical problems as an absent guardian of this planet outside of maintaining authority over who can enter or leave the planet.

As always, loved the reading experience and looking forward to more.

@PeachyGreen said in Imperial Reincarnation Vol. 6 Discussion!:

What I don't get is why Carmine is dead-set on reclaiming the empire's land from the Southern Three. It seems a bit war hawkish...

It would happen at some point anyways. His main motivation is to clear out his borders to hostile nations before he attacks the other empire because he's worried about a 2 front war with the empire.

And they did, declaring war on him during his wedding. He would have attacked them soon anyways but they were the ones that chose this timing.

Also from his dialogue with Charles, it seems he thinks the divine empire is behind all the countries declaring war on his empire.

@koh JNC typically do not comment. V15 did only release this year in Japan, so it's not that unusual for us to still be on a gap.

Cecil was so annoying in this volume that I actually felt bad when she got a power up.
I wonder how many of Allen's companions will have the privilege of a dedicated volume, it can't be everyone since they are so many unless the author us planning g the series to last longer than I thought.
Next arc with the demons attacking the world there should be some sense of urgency that this volume lacked with Allen and friends being able to grind for as long as needed.

sensual scenes

lol :) I'm guessing JNC does not TL doujins :>

He should have been suspicious about the dog tags from the start, simply because they were found in a different location than the diary. There's plenty of reasons why she could have been separated from one or the other, but she certainly couldn't have died in two places at once.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Tory decided that being officially dead would be beneficial. She has no family to tie her down, so there's nothing stopping her from starting a new life with a new identity. The ending suggests that she's happy to be "dead" and doesn't want that to change... though it also suggests that either she or someone speaking on her behalf continues to have significant influence. Her "death" might have coincided with induction into black ops.

There continue to be parallels with The Saga of Tanya the Evil, with flashes forward to a postwar period where the survival of the protagonist is ambiguous. Pretty early on in that story, it's clear that even if Tanya survived, her existence and feats got redacted to hell because she'd accumulate enough grudges to threaten postwar peace, and it'd be better for everyone (including her) if her name vanished from history. Tory may have ended up in a similar situation; being a war hero can put a target on your back that she wouldn't want.

As an aside, how friggin' long is that diary that it's taken him this long to read it? You could read the entirety of the lord of the rings in less than a week; something that could be carried around on a military campaign shouldn't take more than a day to read. Not to mention, how did she find the time to write in it when she went several days without sleep?

The story somewhat similar now with the

not to mentioned MC name also sounds like

This is one of my favorites series from J-Novel Club, it was fun to read the comments on the forum and it also made me check other series, because they had wolves on the cover.

Comparing the Volume 1 color art with this Volume color art, make it easier to see Sara growth(in height), since in Volume 1 she was around the same height of a wolf and in this Volume she is litle taller than a wolf.

In the manga version it felt easier to see Sara growth, hopefully we can see it here in the future.

Sheila said she received a self-portrait, but that's impossible unless she gifted to herself (which doesn't make sense). A self-portrait is always both the subject and the creator, otherwise it's just a portrait.

Mito feels similar to the "Hero" from Moon Blossom Asura. A 1 in a million prodigy that the MC will teach in the hopes of creating the fight they always wanted.

Nia is less bloodthirsty than Asura, and the difference in strength is like heaven and earth, so I'm sure it won't go down all that similarly, but it's fun to see we have a clear contender for the strongest pupil in Mito.

@Jon-Mitchell - that does seem pretty close, though you didn't mention the MC being a pyromaniac do does want to set the world on fire, not just start a flame in your heart.

You'd have to track down the web novels to see which came first but even then it could be two writers happening to read the same magazine, see the same TV show, etc.

Hollywood often has had more than a few "double releases" from people seeing the same inspiration: asteroid movies, volcano movies, even two pirate movies. Songwriters have done the same thing with buzzwords like being "open" (to new things) when that was trendy personal improvement advice.

Where did Kevin go?

Rejoice - vol.9 will release next week in Japan.

It's a bit annoying that the author still doesn't want to make Arata and Reina an official couple despite them basically being married with a kid.

I am missing the dinochicks and sano-kun.. It has been a while since the last volume ended.
This series has 12 books, the last was released on July 10th this year.
I really hope this series continues.

Sometimes there's just random delays in licensing due to the background chaos of the universe. They'll translate the next volume at some point, worry not.

On the bright side, I managed to catch up with the prepubs.

@josephmassie728

I think this is the original web novel:

@ravenchilde happy birthday!

@irioth I just hope it won't become a recurring trait. I don't need Merlin to be ruthless and cold blooded but protagonists that hesitate too much to kill even when needed can quickly become annoying.
