Generally I'm pretty anti-spoiler and I agree with Terrence that the coy "just wait til you read X!" comments are annoying at best. However, I don't mind spoilers if they're a heads up about a major tone shift or addition of questionable content in a running series, since knowing about it in advance means I can drop the series and not waste my time.
Knowing about tone shift can be fine if it is vague enough, and knowing a series is generally believed to improve in quality later on could be quite useful information to keep me from dropping something worthwhile. Generally though I abhor spoilers (including coy comments) as they only reduce my enjoyment. I prefer to find stuff out through the story itself, especially as my speculation or expectations about how something might happen could end up being better than what actually happens.
