The biggest disappointment I have about Clowe, was that he died so unceremoniously off-screen, without ever witnessing even a shred of the power of Light or his comrades, in the true sense. (That fight against the three hired demons don't count in that respect, since Clowe had no idea who they truly were.) This way, Clowe probably died still convinced that Lilith still didn't have a chance against the rest of the world.

The complete lack of spaces after every occurrence of the word "chi" is getting really annoying by part 3.

It's jarring to read a nonsensical word to instantly realise it's just chi and something else after such as "chiwas".

As it seems consistently messed up, I almost feel a quick find and replace with "chi" to "chi " would fix the whole damn book.

But it's quite old, so I'm just venting my frustrations at this point.

By part 7, I'm assuming that Julius was adopted into the family with the intent of marrying him to whichever daughter reached S rank in the academy (or the other way around). Prior to the Renee swap, he didn't care too much about which one it turned out to be, but now he does. It's also why her stepsister is so locked in, because the winner of the contest is the one that inherits the house. She and past-Renee probably knew this, but they probably have some kind of vow of silence to avoid leaking this to others, which is now preventing them from re-informing Renee.

@QuestioningEspecialy This story is not particularly sexualized. As I recall (my memory is not great, and I haven't read it since it was being translated) expect some occasional descriptions of tight outfits and bust sizes, but not much more.

It's too bad that Leonard died, he was a nice character. I like Victor too and I hope he'll become a recurring one. Keith and Karen might also make for a nice couple later. The subplot about the princess is the part I like the least of the series, though.
I wonder if once reforged Leonard's karana will end up in his friend's hands as a form ot atonement.

The Kamil POV did a good job for me of giving the character more depth, and showed he really does like Dier as a person.

It was a great volume. We saw Sharanla dead (well, at least for a while) and got a great amount of romance development.

I very rarely drop series, yet this is the second multi-volume series I've dropped this week because of an author's weird plot choices coming across more as personal fantasies and/or desires. Or maybe this was an attempt at fan service by innuendo.

The "doll" in Part 2 seemed unnecessary and tasteless. Maybe the author did something amazing to make the doll the lynchpin to the story, but for me it was the end of a sluggish adventure.

At least I'm finally at a point I do not feel I have to finish reading everything I start--now I just need to trust my instincts and throw in the towel earlier.

On top of that, even if he is working on The Magician Who Rose From Failure, the fact that he's working on other series means that he's spending less time on The Magician Who Rose From Failure. So, even if/when the issues delaying that series are resolved, it'll likely be coming out more slowly than it would have otherwise. Of course, the fact that he's working on other stuff shows that he's still around, but it really doesn't say anything about us getting more of The Magician Who Rose From Failure.

Either way, it sure would be nice if he started releasing more of this series - and ideally actually focused on it (IMHO, it's his best series). I can appreciate him wanting to support the illustrator and not drop them, but personally, I'd rather just get more of the story, and I really don't care about the illustrations.

That was a cute, if corny, ending.

That reveal about Earth-chan and our MC's staggering number if deaths was cool. No wonder she's such an odd ball. She's died more than Subaru from Re-Zero!

So to be clear, what I think happened in this part is that she started with a server does everything (even graphical rendering) approach, and shifted to the server sends updates, each Smart Frame renders the results itself model once she lost most of the servers. (I don't think she could have gone fully peer-to-peer, since she still needed to stream the rest of the performance from the remaining server. And each frame having to transmit to each of its peers would have had some 'interesting' effects on network performance. But it's hard to tell with this series.)

If that's what happened, then I agree with you that the first approach was very stupid. Even if the server did the composition there was no need to do the entire rendering and stream a video - just send the composed state to the frames that take care of rendering it.
With 40k people in a small area is already difficult to get a good network, no need to fill up the bandwidth for no reason.
But at the end we're trying to make technical sense of something the author just wrote as a whim because it looked cool.

Nope, but a new app can be installed and the controller/server could tell the devices to run app Y instead of app X. It all depends on how you design the platform.
It's actually a good design for smart frames for events, you register them with a controller for an event and the controller tells them what to run, dynamically, without the need of flashing a new firmware every time. Then you reuse for other things.
