Or more precisely: as someone who saw too many things I like ruined by adaptations that took too many licenses, if not even outright disrespected the source material, the frustration in seeing that happening was real. But frkm a narrative standpoint I appreciated that yhe teenager author Mashiro still isn't at the level to talk back to veterans in the anime industry.
I think by the end of the volume she'll be able to get a 100% faithful adaptation of her work, but it's not going to be easy.
