If that was the ending, it was a damn good one. I love that the story threaded the needle between complete disaster chef and inexplicable perfection. Like, the former is almost a standard trope and it wouldn't fit this series, while the latter could be either "oh this is just like making potions" or "oh this is just like [insert task] I do all the time" and they somehow make an amazing meal. It feels real for the story being written.
