these Apostles are getting more and more tiresome. Their devotion to the Ain't is growing equally tiresome. Methinks they need a stiletto shoved through her spinal cord — but not through their trachea, they still need to be able to ask "why" in the few seconds of consciousness before they collapse.

And this "Io" is hardly any better. Methinks he needs to meet the Duchess Emerita and get a stern talking-to... as does her former ally, Crescent "I'll Become A Vampire And Side With My Master's Greatest Enemy" Moon.

He's the Dragon Reborn. Works on many levels both literal and figurative. Not human(dragon!!!). World Savior. Master of magic. Someone important in a previous life(maybe) and possibly more. Heck, even the harem with a clear girlfriend(;Min/Lydia best girls).

One thing I like about this series is that reading it gives me similar vibes to Misfit of demon king academy. It's not as good as the latter, but still makes for a nice read. I hope it will reach a proper ending and it won't be abandoned by the author.

Arcana was actually the Goddess of Absurdity, and her being Anos' little sister was not her past but her wish, that now has been granted. That still leaves Militia's and Abernyu's role unclear...material for the next volume, I guess.

The Goddess of Absurdity combines creation and destruction, and Arcana still has lost her memory at least once.

I still think that Sasha and Misha are also parts of the Goddesses, a side effect of the massive number of sheningans that got said goddesses freed.

(Note it's still left implied that Anos didn't really beat Abernyu but rather convinced her)

@Windsagio That meltdown probably won't happen to both of them at the same time... and I'm fairly certain if Daddy Dumbest is the first one to learn, the Boy Dunder never will. Not like Look At The Big Brain On Brett here would be able to get the backup plots rolling...

Some thoughts I had on reading this volume:

I guess Shuugo was not cute enough to put on the cover? Even though the synopsis seems to feature both him and Yanagi?

The author really went all in on the HH names for the organisation, Hearts.

Toki Shuugo’s chapter
- Was he really compared to a mercenary? His attitude seems more like that of a soldier, particularly one of the low-ranking ones. At least, that’s what the description made me think of. A mercenary would have more initiative in my opinion. After all, a mercenary fights for his own benefit and profit.
- Reading further along in the novel, I can see the mercenary analogy but I'll leave the thought here to generate discussion (or not?).

Happa’s power: how far can she exhale? Or is it that as long as the air went through her lungs, she can control it no matter how far away from her it is? Does rain mess with her powers because she can no longer see her ‘breath stream’?

Ok, by the end of the volume, I can sorta see why some people like Snow. She's kinda went from "annoyingly pathetic" to "adorably pathetic" to me by the end, especially with that end-of-volume illustration (in the full volume, not in the part releases).

Lastiara is still my favorite though. As @Windsagio said, Reaper might actually be the most 'normal' of the group. But, as crazy as Lastiara is, I think she's actually the most mentally stable one, including Kanami. From how she had to step up to take care of Dia after Sieg lost his memories to how she continues to troll the other characters no matter the situation they're in—she's kind of unflappable at this point.

She's stable in the sense that she doesn't change. Her baseline of craziness and love of theatrics remains constant. Or perhaps it sounds better to say she's the most resilient? I kinda get the feeling that if (or rather, given this series, when) something traumatic happens to the team, she'll be the one keeping it together.

We'll see. I'm not reading the part releases, so for all I know I've already been proven wrong in the first 4 parts of Volume 7 that have been released by now.

For a while there, I was scared that Sayumi would fall to the devil (Sagami) but she managed to keep to the 'straight and narrow path'. Whew! I'm glad. So I guess after this volume we can stop pretending it's a supernatural battle story and call it what it really is: a high school harem romcom. I guess this is taking the path where there will be a single winner rather than all agree to share him. Which means I probably have quite a bit of romantic angst to read through in the following volumes.

I am still laughing at their antics. The best scenes for me are where they all interact with each other. It reminds me a bit of Haruhi Suzumiya but with a nicer (dare I say cooler) male protagonist/ narrator.

FYI the series page for this shows this volume as having bonus stories, but I'm pretty sure it's just a copy-paste from volume 6. Certainly the copy I downloaded doesn't have any. I was gonna buy it anyway so I don't mind, but probably best to get that corrected.

This may be nitpicking but I just wanted to clarify something. In volume 5 for all the chapter titles, it's supposed to be X years old and not the Xth year, right? It's the same construction that makes this the 21st century even though all the numbers start with 20XX.

Question from part 4 (chapter 4 Kiryuu at 21 years old- the second tome)
I just learnt to drive and as far as I know you're supposed to keep your foot on the brakes when the car is stopped. If you put it in neutral while the car is stopped, you normally take your foot off the pedals directly. How did Kiryuu manage to push down on Hitomi's leg and cause her to press the gas?
Ah, nevermind, I figured it out. Writing this out caused me to remember that there are some people who use both feet on the pedals so one would always be on the gas pedal.
Though, another question comes up, can the gas pedal be pressed while you're pressing the brakes? Or did Hitomi stop the car, leave the gear in drive and even take her foot off the brakes while having her other foot hovering over the gas?

@saidahgilbert - with anime you almost have to ignore it if you dislike it when considering reading the LN, since so many anime end up throwing away the parts of the LN that make it unique or good.

Abilities Average cut away the good bits from the academy and hunter's school and added its own comedy bits that failed for me, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear tossed a huge amount of the fun and endearing content to cram in 5 volumes(!), Death March missed the point of him being a tourist, on and on.

I guess I'll have to give this a try now too :)
