Just to note, that post is from more than a year ago, though it's true it got cancelled. The author said in that post he might try to continue the webnovel but slower, but didn't make any promises. Only 3 chapters of volume 6 are out(albeit the last one is from a month ago so there might still be some hope...).

There was a story I have had in my head for nearly my whole life. Ever since I was like 3 I had a story idea that was basically an Isekai. A guy who on his sleep is in a fantasy world with knights, magic, and dragons; while he sleeps in the fantasy world he is in the "real world." I put real world I quotes because the real world was basically a sci-fi world like our own but the main difference was everyone had a chip Implant that served as a TV, computer, and telephone in one where you can have an imaginary screen pop up in front of you and play Mario or metroid or something. Well basically the real world was like Accel world and the fantasy world was like any other fantasy world.

Bumping this because we’re on the last volume of the manga. If there’s any time to do it, now’s the time.

I love economics when it comes to a LN. I love seeing how a economy is made up using the knowledge of events that happened in history. The ups and downs of certain economic scenarios.

Worth noting that this series is actually completed with volume 18 back in 2024.

I'm just going to address your first point, because it seems very strange to me that you're so hung up about it.

We didn't name the land/soil "earth" after our planet. We named our planet after the land/soil. It's a function of the English language, but also many other languages.

For example, the Japanese term for the planet is "地球" Chikyuu. This is made up of the character "地" Chi, meaning "land/soil/etc", and the character "球" kyuu meaning ball. Literally translated the planet is just named "Dirt Ball".

So why do alternate worlds have the term "earth" meaning land? Again, because that's just the LANGUAGE. We call the element "earth", so in order to impart the same meaning to us, it has to be called "earth". Maybe this is an function of the in-universe translation magic that we often see in these types or stories, or maybe it's just a meta function that the narration of the story has to be told in a language we the readers understand.

If it makes you happier, just imagine that whenever any characters from an isekai say the word "earth" meaning ground, they're actually saying whatever word in their natural language that is. And that word is the same word as their planet, but we as readers just have it translated for us, like the rest of their entire dialogue.

If You are writing this story I think going on a popular or well-known writers site thing might be good(I know there are some out there just don't know any) or make your own site or blog thing and post it there. If you do post is on a blog site like Weebly or Wix or something then you probably would need to post a new chapter on a regular basis then. If you do make a blog or something then I likely read it. I really like the WN style books. examples of WN style books are:

series where there is a forward-moving story yet never stays too long on any 1 arc or adventure or quest. I am still iffy on the whole Isekai AND Future thing. I think it is probably best to ditch the Isekai cuz the 5000+ yrs in the future is pretty much a new world (Earth 5000 yrs ago is not like Earth now heck even 100 yrs ago we have advanced so much). Whether you do the world is a dark age or the technology is so far advanced or a little bit of both where they have the tech but no one remembers how to use them I would like it.

I spent ages trying to figure out the units in Youjo Senki; IIRC Crunchyroll used different units but the same numbers to the then fan translation of the novels, while checking the Japanese novels the units were almost always left out...

I'm inclined to agree, but am curious as to why you think so.
I loved season 1

They skipped so much good stuff in the 2nd season to focus on the harem. Wasting time on the side stories. Why introduce Caroline Rilletes at all. Founding of Brunhild was mostly skipped. The book has good world building they skip most of it.
