@LightningLeaf Bit of a necro post but in volume 1 Char clearly says (monologs to himself anyways) that he has never considered being intimate with Lam because he didn't want to risk having any biological children when he knows how horribly his own childhood went strictly because the families former leader repeatedly tried to have him killed so their son could take over.

Now, this was of course before he realized Lam was hot magic jesus with a bundle of sociopathic apostles who are all trying to get into her pants with various levels of ignoring consent. Even when he does start to think he's actually attracted to her he recognizes that she hasn't voiced the same thing and he isn't a fucking rapist (Which, much to my disappointment) seems to be a rare quality in this world.

Well Ikki already fought and won a battle without bring able to use Ittou Shura, although it was against a weaker opponent, so I'm curious to see what he'll pull out against the perverted paintress. Unless the answer is simply that he trained hard and he can use it twice, but that would be too convenient.

Im glad to have been i troduced to this series, it's been gripping all the way through.

I just watched the first four anime episodes of 'Crest of the Stars' today and this very subject was part of episode 3 where Lafi explained to Jinto what her father did to her, and how it affected her at the time. It showed her as a small girl staring into a mirror checking her face for cat signs and then checking her hands wondering whether they would turn into paws or develop retractable claws. So it did affect her mentally as a child (according to the anime). Whether her father knew it would or not was not addressed. She did say that she resented him as a child for doing it even if it was in jest.

@Tahu I was getting ready to send a message to the JNC staff that some of the pages didn't download until I realized "that's all folks" for this volume. I'm looking forward to volume four when Sol just says 'f--k it' and has Lu and the Elf Queen destroy the entire world (lol).

V11 came out as part of HJ's April line-up, so probably going to be a bit of a gap before it can prepub.
