@Ingraman Checking bookwalker tells me that @zeji13 is correct - the author did, indeed, write two more books after the afterword that says they'd finished the story.

From what I've seen of this author's work, those next two books will have an iffy plot and a long list of absurdities. But on the plus side, it's unlikely that Cecily's mother will cross over to this series, so it might still be readable!

This author also wrote that series? I wanted more Evelyn... but this doesn't bode well.

Any word on when Volume 10 will be released in English? It was released in Japan way back in February...

Ugh. Forgot the volume finished.

Darn, I'm gonna miss reading about my favorite chickens over the holidays. Oh well, they'll be back again sometime after the new year. I wonder if the author will pick up where he left off with this volume. (It'd be neat to hear all about their adventures during Christmas and New Year's eve.

So happy with Lila's happy ending, though I had expected her to end up in Emma's extended family.

I think this is a recurring theme: Emma weaves a web/ lays threads unwittingly that wins her allies (and thwarts her enemies, and later makes them indebted to her, converted to allies)

Darius is practically a disciple of hers, yea he was a suitor, but a toxic one. Now that he's been exiled to a rural lifestyle (and his father imprisoned since his abuses have come to light) he's reformed from the therapeutic hard work, and his (and the village's) fortunes were saved by Emma's relatives wanting to dote on her by supplying sweet potatoes Emma's musings on Lila's (now) Fiancé, and a wholloping dose of suspension bridge effect, combined to create a Ba-dump/post-hypnotic suggestion ---Lila gets a happy ending (and is likely grateful to her former rival for noticing how kind her man is)

how fitting for the shrine maiden to the spider goddess

I get the feeling that the author is not as loyal to tsunderes as the protagonist is

Well, it was funny. Stella being a closet pervert, Shizuku never managing to stray too far from the path of the yandere brocon, and Okko's admissions the school thorough a climatic duel.
We also learned a bit more about the ojou sama student council member, that in about every other series would've lead to her falling for Ikki after he saved her from an arranged marriage, but km this case the author decided that we didn't need another harem series in an OTP series.

Ooo, what will we find deeper in the dungeon?

While I'm curious about the where (gestation) and how (delivery) of male pregnancy, no need to toil through another volume to answer that question. I should just see if I can find Junior on streaming. 8-) 8-)

@Kotenmaru That felt somewhat random after building up the idea of the Wards.

My biggest complain "Why no Nina dress up pictures?" If they had cameras there they could have taken a real photoshoot and sold them for money.

I’m half-expecting that one or more of the outfits will be part of the full ebook’s color artwork, since we didn’t get them in black and white. We’ll find out in a month, I guess. :)

O_O

We didn't get any of the dress-up session in the color art. Nina’s always in her maid uniform in the color images! ;_; <sniff>

@PeachyGreen would be ok for me. I wouldn't mind if it keeps going but ending while it's still good is a good strategy.

So... where is vol 5 and 6 ? I think waiting whole year is bit long ? Or the series didn't sold as well ?
That would be pity, especially since there is new manga from it and it is really well drawn.

J-Novel has never dropped a series mid-translation just because it wasn't doing well financially, the only time they've dropped series has been when the publisher requested them to due to (if I recall correctly) author-related controversy. Sometimes the licensing process is hellish and things take this long, there are many people to coordinate between before streaming can begin.

I too pray every week to see the series on the schedule, for what it's worth.

I was assuming that the second sister would too move near Noa but it didn't happen (yet?). Wonder if the author is setting Raiza as a sort of main heroine or is just using different approaches for the sisters.

I actually liked their final fight. I liked the idea of her having to earn the different blades in order to take him down and I was good with him being brought back to life.

But yeah, the second half overall was a bit ehh. Especially the last couple volumes.

As for the harem ending... I just laughed. I mean, if you are going to go that route then sure, might as well have him bone pretty much every single female character of child bearing age 😅

I really do enjoy Reinald. Man though, some of the flashbacks on his past were rough. He really did get "lucky" in a lot of those situations... very interested in how things will develop with Karen.

Karen on matching ribbons.. [What

Loved this volume. We learned more about Carmilla, we saw again all the characters introduced so far, a climatic battle bigger in scale than everything so far, assholes even got their chance for redemption.
Even if, as people mentioned, this volume felt like a conclusion for the series, if yhe WN is still ongoing I hope we'll get more in the future.

I want an isekai where someone introduces like ketchup and pizza and fries to their world and the locals pile on about how much better it is than soy sauce.

It makes a lot of sense now why Selva and Mahyudra get along like fire and ice :P

Jagar and Sym are also opposites.

Only the Avatar, master of all four elements cooking traditions, can bring balance to the world. /sarcasm

Just being in Rhi's POV during the first few scenes was enough ick trauma for me. Shiver yikes.
