Good grief. I like this series and I wouldn't have minded one more volume, but if the author felt this was the natural conclusion it was better this way. I won't deny that part of this volume felt rushed and would've benefited from a higher page count, even if it's already longer than the previous ones.
I'm a bit disappointed that Eliza and Noel didn't get their happy ending, although the implication is that it's only a matter of time.
This isn't going to be remembered as a masterpiece or anything of the likes, but it was a nice read.

The artist wanted to draw the picture, and we let them. Upon seeing it, we had to write a story related to it.
I enjoy hearing of such a relationship between those involved with the story.

That definitely explained why we didn’t read about something that we saw on the cover until the last possible moment in the book. I was a bit confused when the departure from Mahati came up and Alna still hadn’t been portrayed in that lovely outfit. :)

It could have been like Cooking with Wild Game, where they stated that starting with volume [redacted] the cover art might have nothing to do with the contents, but would just be what the artist felt like drawing.

I started reading this book because I was intrigued by the idea of an otome game reincarnator ditching her suitors and living her best life. However, that doesn't seem to be what's happening here. Also, the mystery plot that's driven by miscommunication and outright lies of omission by characters and the narrative is really annoying so I don't know if I will continue this series.

I am just going to say I truly do not understand how we ended up getting this "my first self published Romantasy novel." I am happy people like it but, holy crap that plot was worse than Wattpad/AO3 fics. There was next to zero logic used by the writer to put this sloppy story half-assed together. I love some good trash but I only pushed through this as a hate read. Any attempts at foreshadowing were immediately paid out within a few lines. The arbitrary hostility everyone towards the FL felt like the writer wanted to write their middle school bullying victim fantasy with adults and it didn't actually translate because adults don't just do this kind of stuff even in hyper bigoted societies. This is a poorly written power fantasy and it sounded like it had a good premise. Sorry I am just disappointed that this is what we got.

I'm a bit sad that we didn't get to see Raid and Eluria going all out but the tow of them toying with Wallus was fin so it's forgiven. And just when I was wondering how many volumes it will take to find him it turns out he has always been there, so next volume we should get some answers.
The plot moved so fast in the last parts, including a sudden confession from Raid after we were basically told to expect the status quo to be maintained until the end, that when I read the author mentioning problems and having 10 volumes worth of plot planned I was afraid he was going to announce the series was axed and he was struggling to end it in ine more volume, but luckily it wasn't the case.

Just seeing this now, but this would be a pretty cool meaning behind the naming he chose to go with. I'd speculate that it might be the intention? But at least in the Japanese, they specifically use グルン (Gurun) and not ジェルンド (Gerund), so it's hard to say definitively if this would be the case. But then, I guess you could spin it as Veight not knowing German well and kinda fudged his name to mean what you mentioned. That'd be a Veight thing to do.

A part of me feels a bit sorry for Lew that didn't get all the spotlight for her wedding but another part was happy that we got progress for the other girls too, especially Leila since I was actually worried she might be left out from the harem, and going by the afterwords the risk was real.

So Allen didn't help Lisette? Huh.

The world and lore for this story are so good. It's wild reading this alongside of Pens Down and Imperial Reincarnation: I'm constantly complaining about both of those grinding story progress to a halt for lore dumps and here it's just the opposite. I want more lore because this is a cool world.

@LightningLeaf To be honest, I still haven't quite figured out what the point of this whole Cal Mira Island diversion is supposed to accomplish.

After all, Volume 1 sets up a relatively interesting video game world and revealing the meaning of the world at the end, then the author immediately turns around and goes... "So anyway, have this other pocket world instead that's for all intents and purposes detached from the rest of the game. Oh and don't worry, the cast characters are the same as ever. Heck once they get over their initial surprise at getting abducted and stranded on an island in the middle of nowhere they remain as unchanged as ever. And Yamikage still remains my favorite whipping girl, because I need a character I can torture and abuse to keep the series interesting."

It honestly seems like the author is squandering the series. I can't tell from the series page how many parts remain for this volume, but the author needs to reveal something big pretty quick. Otherwise it'd amount to two whole volumes of setup without a worthwhile payoff.

Reading through this chat now that the series is on catch-up. It's kinda funny how big of a deal one of the characters being an Isekai character was to everybody. For me it enriched the world. This world of fantasy even has otherworlders who have shaped it. However our main PoV character doesn't know that. This gives us some dramatic irony in the setting. And him being an otherworlder or just born OP makes 0 difference so why even complain? Just enjoy the reveal that the world has otherworlder but they aren't our MC.

I barely remember what happened in the first seven parts. Oops. Echidna. Rafael gets to be a dragon and feed his meat to Rochefort. Eww… That came out wrong. Inglis returns with dragon mecha tail, which no one had to consume, and then goes on to make jewelry. Inglis gets her first good feel of another girl’s chest, by accident; Inglis is devastated, but seems to recover. Rafinha likes, but doesn’t like, her Inglis-crafted ornament.

Only just now reading the book, before it expires… ^^

Huh. Looks like her leggings have always had the side cutouts. You can see a little of the exposed skin on the Vol 1 cover. shrug She's gonna have the oddest shaped sunburn when she gets out of the desert, what with the random leg and shoulder windows on her outfit!

I didn’t even notice the little gaps in her outfit. I was more concerned for her back. Her head and upper body appear to be oriented across the image, but then her hips and legs make a sharp right turn to point away from our perspective. It doesn’t feel like a relaxing pose.

What a journey! I am a bit sad that the series has not seen much exposure beyond the ecchi trope which garnered much discomfort in the first volume. Ultimately this is a story about hope and finding strength in the face of adversity.

I liked V1 which to me felt like a simple, nice, complete story. When it turned out it was just a prologue to an epic, I was "meh, no reason to continue reading". If it is one day on catch up I'll consider scanning through.

I really liked the last one of Viess. Somehow he looked both monstrous and human.

It's still farfetched.

Seika's plan from "birth" was to find someone strong to hide behind. The hero is the strongest there is (usually) he was always going to end up in her shadow. She was always going to be a target of certain nobles and w/o Fiona there to help push things in a less tragic direction he likely would always have lost her to their machinations.

Her vision of a happy life with him almost certainly came before the crash and burn. But she just can't be the reason it happened. Nothing about Seika's character points to him throwing away his plans that she didn't affect at all till he had already bonded with Amyu.

Her actions didn't cause the demons to attack. Or the prof to be a spy. And those were the key events that got Seika to form a bond with Amyu. It's much more likely that she just didn't see any pain because of her own naive happiness.
