. Also, the series didn't overstay its welcome with me like Little Apocalypse did, where it felt like just going through the motions after around volume 10.

So that confirms that, I'm not sure if it was still up in the air or whatever... but DP monsters are just created out of nothing. They aren't brought from other planes/locations/had life before... basically they aren't being Isekai'd.

I wasn't expecting such movie references... very well done.

I think you're being a little too realistic and logical. Sven might not be human but when has that ever stopped an AniMangaNovel author. First to mind is ChoBits. That was an android the MC fell for. Also, Kami-sama Kiss has the MC falling for a youkai. Past and age are also things that can be overlooked especially since....

I don't believe this will evolve into a romantic harem. Lud wants to bake, and for the duration of the books, I don't expect this to turn into one of those harems where the MC develops feelings for anyone in the harem. It'll remain the type of harem where all the members have one-sided feelings.
