Male lead low self-esteem is a painfully overused trope in light novels, but I feel that with Holmes it's presented a lot more naturally and believably than in most cases. We know he's extremely talented, the rest of the cast know he's extremely talented and he also knows he's extremely talented, but it's not in any of the areas he really wants to have talents, so he can't help but look down on himself all the same.

Volume 2 (Premium Edition): 2 Bonus short stories Friends and Names Perfect Weather for a Picnic

Just read the first volume, it was nice enough. In particular, it was refreshing to see that Callus' brothers are nice guys instead of trash that look down on him. The title was made obsolete already in the first volume, although the curse is still present, but now that the protagonist is older I'm looking forward for some progress between him and the multiple heroines introduced in the story.

Just ready the volume. There isn't basically any single element I haven't ready or watched elsewhere, but since the author is using tropes I like I'm not going to complain. Bonus points for the protagonist having sex in the first volume and the heroines being well endowed.
So far this was a nice read, the biggest drawback Is that the volume was really short.
